The Role 

We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated, driven technical professional to work in a team of engineers developing web applications with high availability various technologies and frameworks inside Customer Engagement tribe.

Here's what we'll expect from you, as a Senior QA: 

Functional QA 

At any level of Quality Assurance, you'll get to know the ins and outs of: 

• Designing new and creative approaches towards complex testing requirements 

• Being an expert in complex testing techniques across multiple domains 
• Resolving complex issues across multiple project teams and domains 
• Planning and executing releases reporting to all involved stakeholders 

Test strategy definition: 

As part of the QA team, you'll:  

• Be responsible for, and be an expert in, complex testing and coverage techniques 
• Enhance and improve upon current SDLC industry models 
• Conduct QA design and architectural reviews from the project and their impacts on components 
• Be recognised as an expert in test strategies and techniques 

Domain expertise:

• Able to conduct QA design and architectural reviews from the project and their impacts on components 
• A recognised domain expert for several complex functional components on a given project/product 

Automation Capability:

• Have a thorough understanding of the technical capabilities of frameworks and frameworks in use 
• Apply technical knowledge and your domain experience to project/team test approach 

Incident Management :

• Coach teams on best practice for incident management 
• Proactively seek out potential problems to avoid them occurring 

• Be the go-to person in your area within PPB 

Key Working Relationships: 

• This position involves working with and being part of a cross-skilled development team and will have regular contact with teams looking after other aspects of PPB products & tools.

SpecificationExperience & Qualifications Required: 

• 5+ years relevant experience 
• Advanced understanding of micro-services 
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages - both FE and BE 
• Experience working in Service Virtualization, Cloud, Agile, CI/CD, DevOps environments 
• Experience using Jenkins, Maven, and other related CI/CD tools 
• Good experience using Selenium 
• Experience of Agile software development practices 
• Clarity of thought and strong communication skills to effectively pitch solutions 
• Strong troubleshooting skills in different disparate technologies and environments 
• Good commercial experience working on successful automated testing projects 
• Background in functional testing with the ability to plan, design and execute test cases 
• Proven diagnostic and debugging skills 
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving and prioritization skills 
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Proactive work ethic with the ability to deliver results and meet challenging deadlines
