The role:
We are looking for an Infrastructure Project Manager to join our lively and dynamic team based out of our office in Cluj-Napoca.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both! We will kit you out to work from home but know that working as a team is what makes us great and spending quality time together is essential for keeping our mission aligned.
We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager with strong technical knowledge to participate in technical and architectural discussions and support the delivery of multiple projects.

In this role, you will lead the implementation of next-generation automated solutions using DevOps techniques, CI-CD pipes, and supporting moves into the Cloud. This role will take the lead in engaging with our infrastructure IT teams that lead the global platforms and enterprise-level HW and Network devices. The Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects, working closely with various IT teams and resources like Windows, Linux, Networking, Virtualization and IT Architects, to deliver on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal IT Infrastructure projects and improve the IT Infrastructure processes and workflows
  • Work closely with IT Operations and SRE Engineer teams on multiple projects at once
  • Maintain relationships with both internal and external
  • Establish clear and regular reporting through visual dashboards and sharing relevant insights for senior management and executive teams
  • Lead decomposition and estimation of business-level requirements with the teams, using technical knowledge to create tickets for the IT teams
  • Managing and coordinating the end-to-end project activities from initiation to implementation
  • Effectively advise and influence your intended audiences, proactively networking with relevant stakeholders to advocate for the needs of your projects
  • Harness team skill matrices to provide opportunities that promote development and close skill gaps
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineering leaders, and product development teams to define and deliver high-quality products and features through the full software development lifecycle
  • Ask critical questions about the why of a process, pare back to minimum viable process when needed, and influence adherence to agreed-upon standards
  • Chair regular governance forums (e.g. team stand-ups, steering committees) to review progress with key constituents

Experience:

  • You have significant Agile/lean experience with Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar IT and DevOps Leadership role ideally in an IT Infrastructure, Consulting, or Professional Services environment, with a proven track record of providing the technical, interpersonal and management skills required to produce results
  • Experience with orchestration and management of highly sophisticated business structures, able to work in a highly functional environment of technical folk who each own their own area of expertise

  • Flexibility to accommodate ours to accommodate for time zone differences across our global teams
  • Strong communications skills and an ability to communicate effectively to IT infrastructure technical engineers
  • Provide the right level of updates, and accommodate the update respective to each persons requirements

Technical expertise and knowledge:

  • Solid understanding and expertise in Project Management delivery and strategy – PMP certification or Prince2 certification a must
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Full proficiency in Project PMP terminology and reporting and Planning and estimating
  • Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure with networking, security, virtualization windows Linux
  • Heavy use of MS Project and Visio
