Position Summary

Reporting to the Lead Product Manager, as the Associate Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing the product experience for customer touchpoints at all stages of the Customer Lifecycle, and supporting other key Product initiatives aligned to customer benefit and the strategic goals of our brand.

Based on customer needs and business opportunities, you will work with the wider Product Team, Technology, Customer Operations, Data, Marketing teams and others to deliver a customer obsessed, world class product experience for Sportsbet.

You will be obsessed with how our customers interact with our products, using data and insights to ensure we solve customer problems and testing and validating hypotheses to develop a pipeline of compelling products that will help to deliver an unmistakable brand experience that embeds simplicity in all journeys.



Customer Obsessed

  • Clearly articulate customer problems and opportunities in the market to be addressed using customer feedback, data, market analysis and research as inputs 
  • Creatively explore ways to solve these customer problems and opportunities by working closely with design 
  • Define MVP for initiatives, managing trade-offs between suite of possible functionality, time and cost to market. 
  • Influence and approve the design and requirements gathering phases with technology, ensuring alignment to solving customer problems 
  • Prioritise the delivery of features and bugs across the portfolio and explain the ‘why' behind these decisions 
  • Define success metrics and proactively report and analyse performance 

Lifecycle management & Optimisation

  • Ongoing reporting of products in market through data, feedback via research and customer facing teams to ensure performance is optimised
  • Work closely with other teams, particularly Customer Operations, to identify opportunities and improve customer experience and deliver product performance. 
  • Measure performance against success metrics and implement go to market activities to drive performance where necessary.
  • Create a clear pathway for optimisation of products and articulate value opportunity. 
  • Co-ordinate competitor and market activity monitoring and continuously assess strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for our products.
  • Ensure all initiatives have defined customer needs, clearly articulated value impact and time-based success metrics that are agreed with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define & communicate the customer outcomes.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor degree (Marketing, Commerce/Business, Computer Science or technology related) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in customer facing role with track record of solving customer problems
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team
  • Experience in project management, coordinating delivery in specified timelines.
